  10. I'm not sure what you are looking for, but there are several VB controls for 
  11. using the winsock interface.  First of all, several commercial TCP/IP vendors 
  12. have VB tools.  NetManage and Distinct both do.  However, Distinct wants a 
  13. royalty if you distribute your VB program with their control.  NetManage does 
  14. not.  There are also some shareware controls available.  Visual Technology 
  15. Product's VTSOCKET.VBX is one.  GCP++ from Genisys is another.  Both of these 
  16. can be found at sunsite.unc.edu.  There is also a product called VBWSK (?) 
  17. that is in alpha release.  I think it is at sunsite also.

  19. I have been trying to use vtsocket.vbx with Trumpet Winsock, but I haven't had 
  20. any luck.  The people at Visual Technology have been extremely helpful but I 
  21. just can't get it to work on my system.  But if it runs on your TCP/IP stack 
  22. then it would be a really nice tool.  It comes with full blown telnet and ftp 
  23. programs in VB!  Products with detailed example code are always at the top of 
  24. my list.
